devon-stillDevon Still’s 4-year-old daughter Leah received some promising news about her fight with cancer.

Diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma last June (and given a 50-50 chance of survival), Leah shows no signs of disease in recent test results.

The Cincinnati Bengals DT celebrated on Instagram Tuesday night to share his joy:

“That moment you get the best news you’ve ever received and don’t know what to do so you just flex. We got Leah’s MIBG Scans back tonight and the doctors told us they didn’t see any active disease in her body!!! We still have to wait for her MRI and bone biopsy results later this week. But the doctors feel very optimistic about them because of the results from today. So for now we celebrate!! Leah is NOT cancer free just yet. But this test showing no evidence of active disease in her body is a huge step in that direction!”

Even though Stills was cut by the Bengals at the end of training camp last September, he was added to the team’s practice squad so the team could help with Leah’s health care. After a week, Still was promoted to the Bengals 53-man roster and remained there for the majority of the 2014-15 NFL season. He played 12 games and finished the year with 19 tackles.

The Bengals organization sold replicas of Still’s 75 game jersey and donated more than $1 million in purchase proceeds to pediatric cancer research. Devon and Leah have teamed up to write a children’s book, I Am Leah Strong, for kids undergoing cancer treatments. The book was released in February and is available online.
